Where's the other group's site? I apologize for not checking first, I simply assumed since it was taking longer than usual and the spanish translation had already come out + I wanted to practice translating and scanlating so I chose this Manga since enjoy it a lot.
But even then I don't think I'll stop translating Mieruko since our translation styles are different. The other group focuses more on localizing and changing the setting to a more western one, I simply want to translate it literally if that make sense. I feel that there's merit for having 2 different kind of translations for what a person prefers.

Just to make sure, are you translating from the raw Japanese, or are you using the Spanish translation to English? Because if you're doing the latter, you're automatically losing a lot of nuance, which goes against your statement of literal translation.

I'm translating from Japanese to English, the raws for Mieruko are easily accessible so there's really no reason to use another language other than japanese when translating. But I did use the Spanish translation to make sure of "ran ran ru" was good translation for the old man's song and "un un" for the ghost sounds, since when translating it I couldn't help but think of Ronald McDonald and Regirock so had to make sure I wasn't going crazy.

It's nice how Miko became an actual Anaguma fan when she originally just used him as an excuse to escape from the ghosts (I don't remember which chapter it was).
