Point being all their negatives equal out to a net positive. It's not the best result, obviously, but all together they all cancel out everyone else's negative effects save for Cocolle's XP theft which is always taken from her in exchange- but she's so absurdly high leveled due to soloing for so long, it's whatever at this point. They also all together have a natural minor debuff immunity since anything that's not particularly harsh just gets auto-cancelled due how the debuffs works. In addition, they all basically start fights with +10% to all stats. This only gets lower if there's multiple enemies in a group because then their stat buff eventually peters out.I want to say I'm not reading all that, but... I'm happy for them.
or sorry that happened.
Huh, why would the buff peter out?Point being all their negatives equal out to a net positive. Because neither God of Envy's Divine Protection or Usurper of the Severed Head are directly detrimental to the owner of the skills. They are only really negative when in a party. Drop Rate Reduction - SP on the other hand is completely negative to the owner outside of meta interactions with skills such as Mummy Theft. Thanks for translating all this! Lots of explanations this chapter lol
edit: also, kind of funny how the rogue of the group doesn't bat an eye at the weird Minus skills the girls have, but for the drop rate reduction he's like "aww poor guy" XD

In this world, it seems like there's a formal party-making process. Since they're able to show each other their status pages, it probably works through a similar UI screen. In stories like this where passive skills can affect party members I wonder how the skill system acknowledges if any two people are in a party. Is it just through mutual agreement of the two. What if a group travels together but nobody ever mentions, or even thinks about, forming a party together? Do the skills still apply to others, or only the skill holders? What happens when one person comes to rescue/ help out another with a life threatening fight? Would they be considered a party?
Fun things to think about, even if only the author of such a story can truly answer them.
Just to add a couple things:They also seem to trend towards having significantly more good skills and talent than the averagebearadventurer. The quality of their drops has been noted to be good as well, which might be a Luck check—Cocolle has 72 as of chapter 7 (curiously, she had 70 in chapter 1. Maybe she was on the edge of leveling up?) and Alvin has 71. Not sure if Cocolle's number is the only one that matters because of her killsteal skill or if it averages out everyone's or if it has no influence on drop quality to begin with, but they seem to be doing better than average there.
They're lacking a Drop Rate Up bonus, which seems to be the meta from an economic standpoint, but in terms of combat benefits (albeit ignoring the positive consequences of having a lot of money and resources from higher drop rates) I think they're closer to the best result than what is reasonable.
Of course, it's possible anyone else fighting bosses is similarly exceptional. Their attitude treats it more casually admittedly, but just because they have a lot going for them doesn't mean their peers won't also be rare.
