the mangaka just keeps on droning on and on about his imaginary world mechanics. over 60% of every chapter is just compulsively explaining how each abilities work or how the game world mechanics work, and all of it is done by the mc's monologuing.
I really hate when storytellers do that. just get to the meaty parts of the story. you don't have to explain and justify each and every little thing that happens, especially in a world that supposedly has magic. Just justify every mechanic that you pull out of your ass as "magic", like in Harry Potter or "ninjitsu" in Naruto, and your audience will fill in the details by themselves. Or at least make the world mechanics more like a discovery by the characters themselves, thus making it part of the story or something like in Bleach where Ichigo discovers the mechanics and thus the mechanics, however crazy they may be, gets through to the audiencs.
