YEEEES G-Ma LIVES!

dafuq you mean "old lady"? just use obaa-chan or grandma, old lady just sounds weird in english
This is a bit of a culture thing... maybe. My grandparents used to say things like “My Old Man” or “My Old Lady” when talking about one another. Granted I haven’t heard someone honestly use the phrase in like 20 years, so it’s either that or just a strange translation.

Grandma was nicknamed "Benkei of the Minato Bridge", right?
It's probably over something stupid like her stealing other people's weapons in Osaka :dogkek:

I half expected a rambling old man speach that doesn't go anywhere.
"I was taking the ferry to shelbyville, so I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now the ferry back in those days cost a nickel, back in those days nickels had bumblebees printed on them 'gimmie five bees for a quarter' you'd say. So I got on the ferry to morristown which is what we called shelbyville back in those days. Now the important part is that I had an onion tied to my belt, as was the style at the time. We didn't have any white onions at the time, becaause of the war. All we had was these BIIIG yellow ones..."

Ah good to see this back.
honesty i GET the old man eating and falling in sleep under these long speeches. that is WHY folks.. you need to make it entertaining OR keep it short at least. i think that with my patience i only can last for 5 minutes before zoning out, sleeping, looking at my phone, eating or reading a manga. manners be damned!
