Her motive doesnt really matter, the only thing that matters with her is, is she being controlled or magically manipulated. That mark on her forehead is concerning and looks like a typical curse mark, but its so blatantly visible that the public would see it and know, so would be odd if it was as she is a very public face. If she is mind controlled she can be saved, if not she gets to be executed with the kind and prince, her suggesting to go after a daughter to use as a hostage makes her every bit as evil as the other traitors. So unless she is only like that do to mind control she needs to be dealt with.

Um no it very much does not, smoke comes from the fire, not reaches a location and it ignites. No amount of analogy changes that. I was also referring to the cinders that are the court mages.

Spoiler: The Saintess, And Her Downfall (WN Version)

In the WN, the Saintess is pregnant. Can't be arsed to check if it's the case here in the manga, but yes, close to getting married, already pregnant.

This is, funnily enough, not something a saintess is allowed to do. No relationships unless you give up being a saintess. Which, uhhh... Difficult. Very difficult. And we already know the Holy Kingdom knows she colluded with the party.

There's another party who now knows, though: The Great Saintess (It's been a while, I forget if that's her title.) Why haven't we heard this before? Well, they're part of the heroes party of yore, who are a) Still alive, and b) Willingly sequestered on an island in the middle of bumfuck, nowhere, "sentenced" forever for political reasons. So for her to come out means she really done fucked up.

And there are two things the Great Saintess does. We don't care much about the second, because it's basically a stronger "sent to the monastery" end.

What we care about is that her baby is taken from her with Saintess Powers, grown up a little, and she's told she can't meet them for a damn long time at best (due to Saint Make-up Classes.)

The baby, btw, is secretly given to Noel to raise.

He didn't kill assassins sent after him, yet he killed the soldiers.
Besides he got used by the Prince to destroy enemies (the "totally safe router for delivery") that are the people he promised to protect.
All that could have been prevented had he just went up to the capital with the holy queen and said "I'm the real hero".

Now, my view of him improved.
I thought he will hesitate to kill fellow human, to think he really kill those soldier is not within my expectations.

While there is some blood in spots, they are all intact, so I'm not sure if we should be assuming they are dead. It does feel odd he would kill soldiers doing their job but not assassins. Soldiers fighting a coop while on the wrong side in this case, don't have a way to know that they are. They were just told to fight against a armed group that is trying to oust the "hero" and king. He really shouldn't kill them if he doesn't have to as they aren't the problem. Hell rather than attack him they tried to reason with him to get out of the way until told he was a enemy. If in this situation they are that disciplined and not just saying f it and using force that really indicates them being good guards normally.
