I'm like 50/50 on whether this is an actual revenge story or one where all the relatively innocent people suffer worse fates than the actual villains for no real reason. Given we went from "I will have my revenge" immediately into an aimless slice of life story I'm leaning towards the latter happening in regular intervals during cutaways. I've learned from these stories that trusting the wrong people is the worst crime you could commit.
