One can only hope the manga can change the fate of the Saint and the Store Lady. But I have doubts

Ah, now I remember this. I remember the people dropping the novel because they said it was just an incel power fantasy. Well, they weren't wrong. What happened to the two evil dudes was alright as they do get caught but it's really messed up what happened to the shopkeeper. Thanks for the chapter!!!
Does she deserve the extent of what happened to her? No. Does she deserve punishment and a bad outcome? Absolutely.

Remember she instantly believed a stranger she never met before. A guy accusing a boy she knew very well, saw growing up, and was closely acquainted with. And her reasoning was entirely superficial, the other guy was hot, influential, and a noble. She not only instantly believed anything he said, she went out of her way to allow that guy to pursue her once he showed the slightest interest in her.

She was shallow, self serving, superficial, and egoistic. And walked right into his trap. After condemning someone she should've known better than to condemn.

Right? She had a narrow escape from sexual assault, regardless of who the perpetrator was. If she had kept her guard up against all the male sex like most victims tend to do, she'd be spared. But nah, she willingly went somewhere secluded with a man who was also accused of trying to assault her sexually, but he's handsome, rich, blue-blooded, she can take the risk, I guess.

I don't fault anyone for believing fake evidence, especially since I know even families can become monsters. But to not keep her guard up immediately after narrowly being spared? That's someone trying to win the darwin award.

"You're an accomplice"
Of what? Sure she was a bitch to the MC for not believing him at all, but she's done nothing illegal and there's zero reason she couldn't just go public with this other than the author not wanting to redeem her.
More of now that she finally realized she was being trapped and probably about to suffer in hell. Obviously it will all come to light from Cyclo but it will be too late for her

Lol
her dad blames him???? isn't her dad(if part of the church) the fault of this? since the church/hero both fucked over the saintess by cutting out contact between MC/Saintess and also stole her money she was sending to MC so their relationship never went anywhere??? ngl I'm surprised the saintess didn't go ballistic on the church like how Mc's lil sis nuked the guild master? when she found out her money never made it to MC
The impression I had from the father's discussion with Cyclo is that the saint was always a naive and weak-willed person. He wanted his daughter to marry into a good family where that would not be a problem. But they obviously chose wrongly.

So at the very least the saint's behavior is at least consistent with that even if many people end up hating the character as a result. It's probably for the best she was written out of the main plot early on because she is a liability due to how easily she can be deceived.

In any case, it's entirely understandable why his sister and the saint have received completely different treatment. The sister actually made an effort to correct the situation after learning the truth. The saint did absolutely nothing different after learning the truth.

She's so spineless she remained the hero's accomplice even after her ignorance excuse was thrown out. That's the real reason I don't see any possibility of the author trying to force her back into the party. Mist has essentially already taken her place.

That "hero" came clean surprisingly easy.

"I'll let you give me lots of happiness, master. And weapons. Weapons first!"
Well he honestly already got what he wanted from the saint. She folded easily after the mc was framed.

Stop saying the saintess was raped. She wasn't raped. She is just feeling bad, but still chooses to keep her legs open for the hero after learning the truth.

Yeah, that sounds about right. TBH, kinda shameful for someone in the position of Saintess to be so spineless. Her only sin was being deceived, but she only became an accomplice once she turned a blind eye to him.

That's the level of the standard Blackmail trope though. "I have a video of me raping you and if you don't want others to see it then you have to be my bitch."

...

Meanwhile the sister who actually contributed to his bad reputation by spreading poor rumours about him is just accepted a bit later. :pout:
When I read it I took it as a teasing-type little sister just joking a bit. "Yeah, he's so incompetent and useless that he can't survive without me" type stuff..

I have this as my notes for her:

Sandria, Alice (F)
o) Long brown twin-tails
o) Age: 18
o) [Sage] - Highest skill in "Magician" and "Alchemist" categories
o) Cyclo's younger twin? sister
o) Joking comments of Cyclo being hopeless and incompetent are used against Cyclo as serious statements

I'm still not certain if they're really siblings or they just call each other that since they're the same age and have different family names (Alice Sandria and Cyclo Owen).

So, even supposing she was guilty of false testimony.

As a SAINTESS, it would be her duty to right her wrongs. Yes, she messed up really bad. But RIGHT NOW she should go to the king and expose the Hero. That's the only possible sliver of atonement she can find.

If instead, now that she knows she messed up so bad, she still persists in doing nothing....
THEN she's unforgivable. Because you are allowed to be deceived because you're dumb. But if you discover you did something truly unjust, you SHOULD step up and try to fix it.

Also yes the pages near the end are out of order...
from what I remember from the web novel

After the king discovers that the MC is an SSS-rank, he investigates and uncovers the truth. Losing an SSS Power to another country due to false accusations is a terrible thing, so they investigated and discovered the true perpetrators. The Saint was already tormented by guilt, and along with the guard and the hero, was summoned by the king, who gave them their punishment. The guard was sentenced to death, the hero was stripped of his title and sent to the front lines to fight until his death. The Saint, who was deceived and therefore gave damning testimony, was sent to a convent and isolated for the rest of her life. As she is absurdly burdened by guilt, she willingly accepted the punishment. I think she would even accept the death penalty with ease.

rapist guard

As for the rapist guard, he was sentenced to death, placed in a public square to be humiliated and beaten, and the MC's mother delivered the final blow. But it didn't end there. Remember that dungeon the MC fell into and survived? So that's more like hell, where the god of skills takes the souls of criminals and turns them into monsters to suffer. The guard goes there and becomes a boss, the MC confronts him and kills him definitively.
