So he had
two people sending him money... and
both people were having those funds stolen?... kinda dumb for it to coincidentally happen twice, at the same time, thus putting him in this situation.
I kind of feel bad for the saint, because she obviously liked him enough to overlook what was thought as a dud gift, and was even willing to be his sugar mummy - and is instead tricked into doubting him. You can argue that she should have just BELIEVED even harder for him, or whatever, but still seems like she's an unfortunate character.
Both her and the older lady don't seem like they really did anything other than get deceived, and not believe in MC hard enough - which I don't think really makes them deserving of their ultimate fates, from what I'm reading
Meanwhile the sister
who actually contributed to his bad reputation by spreading poor rumours about him is just accepted a bit later.
