Even though it's got people acting silly, this chapter felt rather sad. Like Chiharu has this thing she's really interested in, but all the people around her either want to exploit her good will, or treat it like a joke.

Well Chii-chan evolving THICCNESS was already a fact but now i am convinced too that it was Merii's plan all along.

And bunny will receive some tentacle play.

It would probably be clearer if the translation be "gurlfriend" instead of "girlfriend", so people can immediately see that it's a slang phrase.

My 2 cents.

I have a feeling that little sister has met the professor before, and somehow their encounter has got to do with his scar.

Could Merii's cells be making Chii thicker because Merii subconsciously wants that? lmao

@broadsword80 a while ago I asked the author on twitter, point-blank, if Chiharu had "acquired" some minor demon-like cells as a result of the demonitis ep. And, if I recall, the author did indeed say a (VERY small) part of Chiharu *could* be considered as demonified in a way.

Make of that what you will :p

@cybik and @broadsword if you think about it, the flu she got from loren has a 100% lethality rate for humans with no cure whatsoever. A good hypothesis about her treatment was Meril turning a nice chunk of her cells into demonic cells essentially making her a hybrid. Her physical growth is another proof of that hybridization unless she comes from a family line of well endowed and proportioned women.

Thank you for the translation and notes.
Bunny is a real chuuni, and they finally acknowledged Chii-chan's THICCening.

For me it's not a matter of knowing what something translates to, but more knowing the target language. You can tell immediately when someone's new to TL, or when they don't have a full grasp of English nuance, idioms, and manner of speech (the latter which I frequently find to be the case). Very often I see characters drowned out by derpy-sounding drivel (mangled English or "technically correct" lines that sound awful), or worse, "translationese": always translating certain words or phrases the same way. You've seen it before: 『さすが』 is "as expected," 『よし』is some derivative of "all right," 『ちゃんと』is "properly," and so on.

Of course, TL/PR is a balancing act: you can't sound stiff and boring (unless that's in the character's personality!), but also can't stray from the intended meaning of what's in print or said. That's where @xxsaznpride excels among peers, and it's made this series so much more enjoyable to read. Now if I could just get other groups to recognize their shortcomings in this department...
