Man this series is always so wholesome, funny and cute.
Although now that some female dogs have been introduced, we can get some truly funny comedic moments.
Mainly I'm hoping for a comedic jealousy between characters.

Thanks everyone over at Infrequent scans for the translation

I will be genuinely disappointed if the author shifts focus from female targeted fanservice to male targeted fanservice.

Anyways, Uruha is cute.
I do have to agree with you on quite a few of your points, personally I think most people are just trying to be funny in the forum; personally most of my comments are either meant to be jokes or something relatable. I doubt anyone really takes anything especially the pesudo bestiality thing very seriously and most likely the ones commenting as such are either just popping in to troll or hiding their closet furry nature. I mean they got interested by the cover or at least by the concept in the first place.

I also agree with your points about the demographics and how people are biased because of who the manga is target towards, although I am sure most people genuinely enjoy this magna and its story no matter what; why otherwise would they continue to read and comment. Most people are probably just happy and horny at the appearance of bitches. I also doubt the author will change the direction of this manga for a different demographic going by their other works.

I feel bad for Noriyaki, the only thing his ex left him with was the dog she herself picked out (rude). I'm going to ship him with the stern OL Ayane-san. Looking forward to Part 2. Incidentally, I like how the trainer Nakayoshi-san literally translates as Ms. Get Along.

Honestly, 99% of the time, I'm shitposting when I make comments here.

However, I am genuinely interested in how the story plays out and the worldbuilding of this setting.

BITCH SPOTTED OMG, WOMEN EXIST?!

I really like the new dynamic between the owner and the samoyed. Pretty wild that poor pet and lad ended up together after a break-up but it's sweet how he takes it as an occasion to learn and grow. Animals can be wells of wisdom, and it's especially true now that they can communicate there.

Not sure if the manga will go there, but I would ship him with the afghan hound owner! She doesn't have the occasion to be herself at work, so dotting on her dog is an healthy but a bit lonely outlet, since it's one-sided. And the dude had trouble opening up. Once they both learned to be more in touch with their pure feelings at the dogs' contact, they might bond over this.

I feel like witnessing the comments on this manga has shown me how truly hypocritical and polarizing certain people can be. I know I should just ignore it but it's so irritating.
It's not polarizing though.
What annoys me most is that without fail before the cameo of a female dog-turned-human character appeared the comments were mostly nothing but "white woman fucks dogs" and "you just know" or "white woman amirite????" or even "where are the bitches???? why no females????". The dog-turned-humans have nothing that resembles an actual dog like ears and or a tail, but fair enough I get how it can be pesudo bestiality hence the jokes.
Their mannerisms, intelligence and tendencies are all still animal-like. The joke goes beyond the physical appearance. Same reason why people joke about the oddly specific trope 30 year old dudes in the body of 14 year olds and starting romances or harems. Even if you're physically young you're still a grown man at the end of the day, even Mushoku Tensei got it's fair share of mockery for this kind of thing and that's SUPER popular.

However, I find it odd they completely forget the whole "dog-turned-human = pseudo bestiality" when a female dog-turned-human character appears. Suddenly it's all okay and not psuedo bestiality.
That never left, we're all just horny bastards who can appreciate a hot chick when we see one. Doesn't change the fact it'd be disgusting to bang her. I literally scrolled past a comment asking about romance and my immediate first thought was "No, they're still dogs"

It feels like certain people found something targeted towards a certain demographic and felt the need to completely shit on it and the people who liked it only until the author panders to them with a female dog-turned-human character.
I don't think anyone is truly hating on this manga, they're likely just trolling or being sassy because the plot is kinda out there. Reminds me of when I read a manga about, get this, a succubus dog that eats people (this wasn't porn, mind you, it was just REALLY weird). It was the most wacked out, cracked out thing I'd ever read and the author said he just wanted to write something weird that people would remember and want to forget and then remember again years later.

It annoys me. I'm especially annoyed me how some of them were implying that the author should only focus on female dog-turned-human characters or that the focus will shit from female targeted fanservice to male targeted fanservice once the author gets a serialization.
This may very well be the case since hot women sell more easily and more readily than hot men and there's a reason for that. Most of the manga market is male. Straight male.

As far as my current knowledge goes, the demographics is that male oriented manga vastly outsell and outlive Shoujo manga by like 10 to 1. In fact, out of the 180+ manga that have sold over 20 million copies....only 20 of them were Shoujo while 100 of them were shonen.

The male audience isn't interested in a market not aimed towards them. Not to mention from what I've seen Shoujo fans say, the Shoujo Market isn't exactly in the best condition right now because they all tend to be very samey right now in both style and plots with very few exceptions to the rule. I've read Shoujo manga before, yet in the last 2 or 3 years the last straight up Romance Manga I read was WOTAKU and that was a Josei. Of course Shoujo is still produced and who knows, maybe this would be a blast out success but there's always the chance they focus on the female "dog" to attract more of an audience.

It's like certain people can't stand if something isn't pandering towards them 24/7.
My friend the internet is filled with millions of people. You're gonna come across some people who aren't into what you are and ask/demand it to be changed. The Naruto and One Piece fanbases have thousands of people demanding they make it more "female friendly" or something to that nature even though Shonen manga is generally about guys doing guy things and being dumb guys. That's just life, y'know?

I will be genuinely disappointed if the author shifts focus from female targeted fanservice to male targeted fanservice.

Anyways, Uruha is cute.
Ehh don't be. Publishing is impersonal, it's a money game. Unless the author does it the webcomic way so they can write what they want, chances are there will be some changes involved. Who knows what they'd be though but I wouldn't be too upset about it.

So glad I'm not the only one annoyed by this! It's already so rare for there to be female-oriented, hot guy moe-blob stuff like this, so it's really irritating to see people being like, where are the hot girls?? Like there aren't literally thousands of dog girl manga out there already 🙄

Also, Samoyeds are my favorite big doggos and Uruha is indees very cute! xD

What makes it polarizing is that these horny bastards-- not you or even many of the other commenters -- are saying 'ugh women want to have sex with their dogs' when there are many comments in which many of the presumably male posters are asking where the bitches are at. They are jokes and the comments in the first few chapters are funny, but it's annoying because while men clearly feel the same way about seeing dogs as attractive beings, they still talk like only women could see the appeal. That said, I agree with you that most people are posting because it's funny.

You are right about the manga audience at large, and I also can't think of any recent shoujo that are huge. I also don't think that the male audience should care about things they aren't interested in. However, the shoujo/otome/josei fans(I am one btw) I see are content with being small as long as it's written to appeal to them. They would not be pleased if the author changed to attract an audience beyond them.

Very true. I will say that while talking about 'female friendly' I immediately think of fujoshi that can like anything with men in it(see JJK and the recent freak out).

I agree. This is a twitter comic, so I can't really blame the author if they want to change stuff up and get more attention. If the author wants to include female dogs for whatever reason, they should. Honestly, this is more a gag manga before it's a fanservice one, so I wouldn't be too upset.

I don't read JJK but I'm a sucker for internet drama. I gotta know what happened.
