After finding this manga, I wanted more. I will say that I loved the novel but oh my god was it painful.

I cried so much reading the first like 20 or so chapters of the novel. So much pain, I just wanted her to be happy and it felt impossible. I'm excited to read it in manga form but for a while I was doubting the fact that it was labeled as a romance. So so sad but i loved it.

yh so if you read the novel can someone just answer why on earth illyas father hates her so much?Like honestly I get ilyas mother after all she was basically forced to marry and give birth from that selfish queen.However,shes on good terms with her husband so why does he hate Ilya so much when he loves the other daughter and is on mutual terms with hr mother.He literally has no logical reason to hate her and that makes me more angry and annoyed at how much of a crap father he is.I really wished she had just rebelled and not bothered for her fathers love and just went on her own way,but no.

This is my own opinion from bingeing the novel, so i could be completely wrong in this assessment.

but I think its because the father is just so in love with the princess and his daughter resembles her. Simply because the sister came from the women he loves and the MC was born for the sake of appearances.
The MC was not born out of love and just like how the mother was forced to have her and does not love her, the feelings are the same for the father. Everyone assumes that parents will love their own children from the beginning without prejudice, but that's not true.
