Basically it feels like it's showing the ultimate ending reflecting a certain real place right now.
One dumbass get in charge, replace any dissenters and so in the end you have a country of cultists/asskissers who just try to dance around the stupid king while constantly denies responsibilities over how the country is going to shit because of them, even if it will basically kill them all down the line (i.e. Greed coming for revenge if Eliana is even hurt in this case)
@Siikalahna: "her country" is in shamble and need resources, and she doesn't know any other country to contact them. Lastly she is just one of those saint type who believe in good human nature, even though she's been betrayed/exploited because of it. Then again her looks + personality is what made Greed fell for her so eh.
