I mean just to add onto the wrapped up in private thing, trails of this nature are fucking terrible. You have to go through a LOT in discovery alone, and more often things are either settled or just dropped, and that's if its a civil trail. If its a criminal trail, at least in the US, the burden of proof needs to be incredibly high and isn't just "consent was no". At least at the federal definition, consent needs to be no AND there needs to be forced used.

Just to add insult to injury when the whole "MeToo" movement (nothing against it, i just use it to give you an idea of the period) reached where i live there was so much false accusations towards people (i'm not talking about rich people) laws had to be passed that now make it harder for actual victims to prove it and if found that you've falsely accused someone of this kind of behavior you could find yourself with a punishment of the same caliber as if the accused was guilty.

You'd be surprised how normal that is, moving from renowned schools to "simpler" ones to continue working, In many cases schools hire "Top tier" teachers who are garbage for prestige (I say this from experience)

I think this chapter is trying to start hinting at a bit of romance with the whole “why take it so far” bit. But I was mostly just going off of the fact that it already has the romance tag.

Maybe it’s a slowburn. Idk, the pre-serialization version didn’t have any romance either I don’t think. Maybe it’s just a mis-tag. I guess we’ll find out as it goes on.

Plenty of us went to bat for the friend, thinking he was a bit cringe but ultimately harmless and just too excitable.

As far as this being a "romance" manga, we did get some hints at a backstory when the sister wasn't the Gyaru she is now and it seemed like at least then the little brother had some affection for her which is why he's so adamant about "fixing" her and getting her to go back to the Onee-san he remembered from the past. Whether that affection is familial or romantic is still debatable at this point, but it seems pretty clear that at the very least he wants to help her go back to the point in time when she was more confident and kind like she was to him before.
