If he has f-ing known that she is dangerous and that they would need help, then why did they not go to get that help first before heading to that place?
It does not make sense to go to a dangerous place when you need to HURRY to save someone but you already know you cannot overcome it without help.
It just wastes time going there and then going to back to ask for help.

Also if you know it is too dangerous for you alone then going there risks not only the one you want to save but also yourselves and the only chance to save that other person.
Typical plot development in this case.
