So I didn't get what was going on till the last couple of pages. Apparently Valhalla scans uploaded a joke/trash scan to get readers from aggregator sites to read the chapters from the TL's website.

The trash translation is deliberate, and not a representation of their normal quality. -edit

That being said, this is a really dick move that Mangadex readers should not have had to go through.
Mangadex is not a pirate site like other aggregators, as TL's have exclusive privilege to add or even remove TL's. ( As some TL scan groups have done recently)

This is offensive to me and not how you would get me to go to your site. (I would actually refuse in spite!)

For me there are too many TL groups that translate the over 200 manga's that I read and aggregator sites help me organize my favorites and check for new chapters. I specifically use Mangadex because of this, it's lack of intrusive adds, it's friendly reader community, and it's respect twords the TL's.

TLDR; Screw you Valhalla scans!

Edit: I went to the site to confirm if it was indeed just a troll MTL for aggregators and a TRUE TL for their site. I stand corrected, it is just as bad, word for word, on their site too.

Just like Steam isn't a place to advertise the Epic store, Mangadex isn't the place to advertise your own site.
Delays are respected here if you want to lure people to your own site to read and you don't have to post chapters here.

They thought uploading a bad translation would convince people to go to their site? It just convinced everyone to drop the series or wait until a better group picks it up. Why would they credit themselves with an intentionally bad translation?

Just give it a few months. Valhalla will make a bunch of posts about how Mangadex supports harassment and claim that people are mad and giving them undue hate about delays.

Fortunately, like the last wave of such groups, i won't be missing out on too many titles that I wouldn't be able to read for free directly from the publisher.

Nice advantages: Inherent understanding of swordmaship and magic, can understand and speak the language of other worlds (not sure if that especific world or any world that is not his original one) and a banner of courage buff effect for allies, the making slaves one is a bit bad but could be put to some good use. Shame the "hero" seem to be an idiot... well good thing he got the curse.
