After this arc, I think modern japan is going to fight WW2 japan.
There is a WW2-level nation in the New World, a transferred nation just like Japan, the Gra Valkas Empire. BTW, they're now almost beaten in the web novel. The Japan-led World Union is preparing for the final assault of the Gra Valkan mainland. The preparations will at least 2 years since the other powers are still making enough weapons for the said attack, and Japan is still making their own CSG and the railgun-armed AEGIS battleship

Later on...
Mu Ambassador : "They have better shiet than us, you fcked up BIG time. Now, have a good day.. :salute:"
Lmao didnt the Mu ambassador said that to Kaios in prev chapters?

Sth along the lines of "It's not true we only send an observer to the winning side, our delegation is just a normal diplomatic entourage... but as a friend I'm telling you to not declare war with Japan" internal winking

And to think that Parpaldia didn't believe in the Transference Phenomenon, that such thing is absurd, wherein fact the big baddie in the story, the Ravernal Empire is a transferred nation just like Japan and GVE. However, while Japan is summoned by a god and GVE's summoning reason is still unknown, the Ravernals went to the New World on their own volition

Iirc Japan has a treaty with one of the neighbouring place where they can get their oil, so they can still drill for oil in this new world.
They have 2 sources: one is in Quila and the other is in the two nations in the Grameus Continent aka Demon Continent, with so much untapped resources for both magic-based and science-based civilizations

It's seems like with each country Japan faces, the level of technological advancement rises. So, how far until they face an USA equivalent?

The conflict immediately after this one is with the Gra Valkas Empire, who's technology level is WW2 Era Japan. After that the current arc deals with an enemy who's tech is heavily magic based and doesn't have a 1:1 analogue with IRL tech but implied to be closer to 21st century standards with things like magic-based cruise missiles and even fantasy elements like fleet-wide barrier spells. The first battle has gone about how you'd expect - complete arrogance from the enemy and utter domination by the Japanese

Man, she really can't accept that a country that isn't one of the already established super powers is so much more technologically advanced than her own nation. All because they're in a less developed zone than them. When countless times, she's had the chance to verify it herself. Watch her do something incredibly stupid and have Mu wage war on them too.

Thanks for the TL
The Holy Milishial Emperor, Milishial VIII stated that due to the Japanese spreading Terran civilian tech to other nations, the lines separating so-called 'barbarian' and 'civilized' countries are blurring fast. Said categories (1st, 2nd and 3rd Civ. Areas, Outside Civilization Areas) will become obsolete soon and only by name, or it might be replaced by another category (magic-based and science-based development, etc.)

Cryseilies is just a filler, as the majority of the WUA is still preparing for the final assault of the Gra Valkan mainland. The next major enemy is the Annonrial Empire, said to be the direct descendants of the Light-Winged People
