Oh sure, but you could make interesting 'serious' dialogue by just adding dramatic shadows and 'camera' angles. Hamming it up, but in a dramatic, not goofy, way.Adding these goofy Jojo poses at least gives us something to look at with the expository dialogue.
I'm arguing that the tone is inconsistent, rather than the silly poses (or cartoon faces) themselves are bad.
We go from war crimes in one chapter, to dudes pulling dance moves and strutting their stuff every conversation in another.
You can have these clashing tones and themes in the same comic, but I don't think the author has juggled them very well... in my opinion anyway, I'm sure others think it's fine.
Nor am I saying the comic is bad, it's just critique, not hate - I even find the contrast rather amusing, though it's obviously not intentional.
