1 year by carriage to a neighboring country? On average a carriage travels between 10 and 20 miles, and that's lowballing it due to me assuming their roads will be subpar and that they want to conserve the horses' strength due to a full year of travel. That'd mean the country they're in is at least 3650 miles across, while going from New York (northern east coast) to Los Angeles (southern west coast) when driving is less than 3000 miles.
Does the writer really want people to believe that a medieval (albeit fantasy) country can be that big, but also that game developers are stupid enough to include a full year of travel across a continent just to get to a neighboring country?
