Dual-wielding the hero sword and the demon lord sword would be badass, but I think the humans and monsters alike would have trouble trusting someone with both qualifications. More likely, Rama will just wield the demon lord sword, and the hero sword will accept Rama's friend, and thus we'll have a hero the humans can accept and a demon lord that the monsters can accept, and together they'll be able to negotiate a peace that won't seem too biased toward either side.

Insofar as these "Chosen One" type weapons have a will or consciousness of their own with which to make those decisions, I can just see Reve cackling to itself.

So she did end up picking up the sword; I thought she wouldn't. I was completely blindsided because I expected that the sword would sit there untouched. But the vampire picked it up despite getting burned, threw it away at Rama, then broke her sword and finally aimed at her friend, so basically just setting her up to pick her Reve.

Ogres are strong though so I don't know why she didn't think to just go punch him when the magic failed to stop him and instead considered taking the time to pick up a sword that would burn her (which might make her flinch or cause poor aim) and also looked too big for her to stop him. So yeah, even with all that setup it still seems contrived and I don't think she should have picked up the sword.

Now that she has Reve she's got quite the claim on the title of demon lord.

It's interesting the sword adapted to her, I did think it might since it really didn't fit her style.
