For being just a chapter starting the next arc, it sure feels like how a manga would end if it was axed. Even how they accidentally wrote "the end" instead of "to be continued" on the last page, makes it feel like it got axed here.

Man, I was really enjoying this manga. In this final chapter, I was glad that the prince didn’t follow Rama on her journey. And the idea of her becoming the Demon Lord and having to face a new hero, I thought that was really clever. I was getting excited about the story when suddenly, out of nowhere, “THE END.” I have to admit, it was a shock.

EDIT: Researching on the internet, it could be that this "The End" is actually referring to the end of this arc, and not the end of the manga. Let’s hope so.

I think it is good to have stopped here like this, forcing the story to continue would have made it worse. They also stopped it in such a a way that it can be picked up later with a sequel series if a good enough plot is made that is up to this quality.

As things go this ending isn't bad.. A bit Too Easy on the Big Revelation, but otherwise nicely contained.
And yes... many options to continue the story one way or another, which makes it a good Open Ending.
