Tbf, they are middle schoolers, not even highschooler so them not knowing how to communicate is realistic as hell
Fuck me, there are ton of adults who don't. The hate on miscommunication in manga is seriously overblow, people said "it's frustrating or unrealistic" like people irl can and will communicate perfectly on a daily basis lol
