I'm honestly not really liking the witch society/council. When they gave FMC to her master, they said that she can be a sacrifice if the master didn't like her (and I get the impression that wasn't a joke, or the council twisting the master's arm into taking the girl as an apprentice).
Now they're so quick to Kill the MMC, rather than simply talk to him.
It seems like society was very much in the right to persecute these witches, if this is how they are, even in the modern day.

Anyway, this is obviously going to be the eye rolling road block in their relationship for the next 3 chapters or so.
