First Page.
Mokuri is exaggerating there, no matter how she did that art, it was her who did it so of course they'll tell her name, the name of the person who did it.
Anyway... maybe I don't get it.
Scared of spider webs? I never thought anyone feared the webs, what they fear is the spider itself, isn't it? So it feels strange here reading this story showing people "scared" of Mokuri's webs but not scared of her.
Page Nine.
What strange thought process. How was her art that "hurt" someone?
This drama feels like and over exaggeration from both Mokuri and her friend. Didn't she want Mokuri's art to be seems exactly because people usually didn't liked seeing her webs? Why was it a surprise that some comments were not overly positive?
I don't get it, I don't get it...
This chapter didn't feel right to me.
First page, you should always have to choice to be anonymous at your own discretion. She knows what putting her name out there means so she wanted to hide it and you see where making it public got her. Harassed.
Spider webs are creepy by association. They're Halloween decorations for a reason. I don't think they're scary but it's not far fetched for people to take that association to far.
Again, hurt through association. Yes harsh criticisms suck and Mokuri was exposed to it by her friend but she was also exposed to blatant racism. It wasn't just "your art is creepy" it was also a bunch of "you're only popular because you're a spider-girl" Her friend felt so bad that she didn't just leave the club but maybe the school all together. And that was in middle school, no one should be exposed to that at all let alone actual children.
I like that this chapter showed that Mokuri isn't ashamed of her art or her work as an artist. It was the fact that her friend got her that pushed her to be the way she is now and that tracks. She's sure in her beliefs but has always be sensitive to the way other people felt, not about her but their feelings in general. Just like everyone else she didn't want to offend anyone but through association she ended up hurting her friend through her nature. Like everyone else in this story, she just needs to be around better people.
