The author clearly wanted you to get mad, but they didn't expect to get backlash because they clearly don't understand the audience.
This is chapter was written like a shoujo manga for women.

You have a handsome vampire with groupies who is more popular and handsome then the MC.
He later bites her neck which is a very sensual part for both the West and even more for the East.
She is expressionless, but he imagines how a human would act(imaging getting cucked).
He realizes this isn't the case and apologies.
The author intends for you to get jealous and later react like the MC because monsters are different.

Here's the thing though you can still fucking hate the chapter for so many reasons.
Wad the fantasy necessary, why the neck, why did the vampire pick her, and many other things.
Hell it could even be that you are simply tired of fake drama baiting or NTR bait.

The author knew what they were doing the entire time. Vampires are the most sexual monster outside of a succubus.
I would say a succubus is actually less sexual as the just have sex or induce dreams while vampires are a massive walking allegory plus sex
I gotta ask tho, does the author know they're getting backlash? Like do they really know the reception of this chapter from the masses?

Understandable for sure if one was to feel like that shouldn't have been included at all. Tho we saw why the vampire picked her. Cuz she was standing right in front of him (and she was walking up to volunteer before he even noticed she and the MC were there).

I don't see the issue with people disliking this chapter. It isn't hard to see why many do. I just don't really get certain takes about this chapter like thinking it's a logical inconsistency or what really is no more than just one's own assumption. But questioning the author placing this in the story at all is a completely other topic and one that is fair to ask.

I mean I would expect a vampire to understand how humans view them if I had to live around them.
If the MC has to respect and understand monster culture they should understand humans as well.
Imagine if they were a couple, bros going to be drinking blood through a straw if he tried that.

Cultural understanding goes both ways.

All we can do is hope that something like this actually gets addressed down the road then. Cuz I agree there. Yutaka apologized after splitting them up because he realized he got himself feeling some type of way on his own by making something sexual out of what the genjin just saw as feeding another. Ogami herself also didn't seem to show any indication of understanding why he broke them apart in the first place (whereas Senga did figure it out and called him out on being jealous). But if Yutaka and Ogami are to grow closer and potentially develop a romantic relationship, then she would absolutely have to learn shit like that would not be ok with him, and some things hold greater meaning to him.

It's the vampires fault as he understands that humans are horny for him and if the guy is feeding on people he should know what society thinks.
I'm done with the manga as I don't care for the direction it's going, I simply wanted to state why people are angry because the go to dismissal is calling everyone angry with the chapter people with porn rotted brains.

Fair enough.

No, lol, it's just pure delusion from people who somehow believe this place is indicative of an overall chapter's reception
You see it all the time in other manga like "His Girlfriend," where people are constantly angry and pretend that there's outrage, while the Japanese fanbase sings praises of the manga.

At most, some replies have popped up on his Twitter account in the last few hours from people who are clearly foreigners, as evidenced by their badly written Japanese, likely from Google Translate.

Now, will the Japanese reception be positive when the digital chapter is released?
Who knows, we'll have to wait and see.

The few replies that I've seen around from people who read the magazine are along the lines of "This manga is interesting," "This chapter was good," "It doesn't feel like a Shounen manga," with one or two expressing concerns about the situation with the vampire, but anything remotely similar to what's happening in this website? No.

I'm of the opinion that there will be Japanese readers who won't like this development, and backlash can indeed happen, but so far, all the angry reactions have been exclusively on THIS website.

I guess it just remains to be seen how readers at large feel. I just felt it was weird seeing some comments think the author was doing damage control.

They said that because someone asked if the blushing was him imagining it.
If there is going to be damage control it will be the next chapter where it's all about the vampire.

But why would that be damage control? And what is there to damage control in the eyes of the author?

Yeah, especially when it was a cut-and-dry reply to a standalone tweet that was written in a very neutral way, lmao.

But it's all about validation; people want to feel validated that their anger is somehow reaching the author and having an effect, so the situation doesn't happen again, when time and time again it has been shown that the ones who can produce such an effect are the Japanese fanbase (And sometimes the Chinese fanbase), which, again, can still happen; we have to wait until the digital release hits.
When does the digital release tend to hit? Cuz it seems like I see these chapters available translated before they're even up digitally for the raws.

From a story and world perspective it's extremely dumb that genjin don't know shit about humans.
Humans have to know about different cultures where they visit other countries so they don't get in trouble with the locals or get harmed.
Vampires seem like they would be asking for bullying by male humans or get their ass kicked if they acted like Senga.
Actually if Senga was 100% human people would still want to kick his ass.

The author already had a one-shot before his/her serial manga. It wasn't translated yet. But after reading the raw the one-shot was fine like the first 2 chapters.

I don't know it was a mistake or a inexperience for the first serial manga but with me, the failure of poor execute came with cost made the manga itself not romcom manga anymore!

It already was a new a potential romcom manga to compete with other romcom serial manga. I was so excited with the first time reading and now the author is throwing in my face with a shitty story progression like eating the worm in an apple!

Right now I will wait and see how the manga turn out in the future.

The manga is being published in Weekly Shounen Sunday, which, funny enough, comes out every Wednesday, which is from where, I guess, this group is getting the raws.

Chapter 1 came out on Wednesday the 11th (Issue #46); Chapter 2 on Wednesday the 18th (Issue #47); Chapter 3 on Wednesday the 25th (Issue #48).

The first digital chapter came out at the same time as the magazine version on Sunday-Web, but Chapter 2 was just released yesterday, presumably to give the magazine version a week's head start.

This means that the digital chapter 3 is coming out next Wednesday, I believe.
So digital release for ch. 3 is gonna come out when the 4th chapter will potentially be translated in English?

I wouldn’t even call that damage control, this is the 3rd chapter and it’s clear that the cultural differences between humans and Genjin stands as one of the center focuses of the story and we have to inevitably address them and vampire boi seems fair to be here for the foreseeable future.

Controversy WHERE? The online chapter is not out yet (Only on Sunday #48) and lurking around, I've only seen like one or two comments in Japanese being wary at the situation,
It's "cute" you think Japanese can't read and speak English, and even "cuter" that you think all Japanese comments would happen on a dying Western website like Twitter. Oh sorry I mean X.
This means next to nothing coming from the guy siding with the group of insecure self-inserting illiterates who'll throw out words they clearly don't understand in situations that don't clearly suit them.
You have no business calling people illiterate when you don't even know you can reply to two people without making two posts.
