I don't care what the author cooking, i don't believe any culture treated that as normal, let alone with a complete stranger. and especially animal demi human. neck should be the most defensive era. and it is actually worse when the character act so casual about it.
also you tell me a race that need to eat blood to survive is not more explored and prepared with cross culture scenario and instead just "it is just a meal, totally nothing intimate about it, why so serious" ?
Man, Read chapter 1 and thought this look interesting because it seem like they explore a bitt deeper in to the concept of coexist with demi race instead of just animal ear and shit. but this aint it chief

Vampires in fiction have been sexualized from the very beginning. In most fictional works, they are depicted as very beautiful and seducing men and women as a method of hunting. The victims are very often portrayed as experiencing something similar to sexual pleasure while they are being fed on. Not to mention that in real life, someone sucking on your neck is almost guaranteed to be a sexual act. So I think it's entirely normal to make that association, and it'd be weird if you didn't.

Did you ever consider that people found the specter of it being brought up, regardless of it were imaginary or not, unpleasant in and of itself? I remind you this chapter was detested to such a degree in Japan that the author basically had to do huge rewrites to undo it. This was not just a “Mangadex” thing. The author almost assuredly had no idea that people pirating the manga across the ocean were having the same negative reaction they were dealing with domestically.

Dude, it was worse than this for like about 3 months. I have even seen youtube shorts about it and I know it was an ever bigger shitstorm on twitter but I didn't dare to look at it. It was so embarrasing to read. If some rl friend or family member saw me posting the delusions and rationalizations around the ntr shit some posted around here, I wouldn't be able to look them in the eye again. And yeah, some were trolls egging on the real delulu ones, but it was like collective hysteria on a fucking fluff sol manga.

Anyone upset at this chapter before or after the update is missing the entire point of the series. These characters are not human and as we have seen with Tsumiki, some of them literally didn't even grow up in human society. Why would they have the same sense of values as humans? Even between western and eastern culture in real life we have drastically different senses of value. Why is that so hard for people to see?


It's only weird because you want it to be weird. You say necks should be protected cause they're vulnerable. But Tsumiki is not an actual animal, she has logic and reason. She understands the guy isn't trying to hurt her. And to her, there is nothing 'sacred' about her blood or her neck. So as long as she trust that he wont hurt her, why wouldn't she let him do that? And trust like that is common even among humans in small communities where "Everyone knows each other" that kind of trust carries over a lot of the time, and we know Tsumiki is from such a small community.

Genjin having different values than humans is fine and makes sense. What doesn't make sense is a werewolf, which has been shown so far to have numerous wolf-like characteristics, being fine with another creature biting their neck. That is pretty much the opposite of wolf like and seems like it's there just to stir up audience reactions

And that's again just some stuff you made up. They have wolf like characteristics yes. But they aren't animals that can't process complex social situations. She knows what the boy is doing and knows he is not trying to hurt her. So why should she assume he is? Or are you really gonna act that dumb and say that genjin have only the reasoning capabilities of the animals they mimic?
