interesting he's alive, guess the burnt clothes was a red herring.
Because they never "burned clothes" the way people here interpreted it. They were sorting trash to be taken out. In Japan, all trash is sorted into burnable and non-burnable garbage. Touko was asking her mom if clothes are burnable or non-burnable to which she correctly replied that they are burnable.

In the context of this manga, it still comes off as a little ominous that they are throwing out clothes, but in general it's nothing out of the ordinary. I suppose that's how many things in this manga are: ordinary things depicted ominously.

I really hope the MC gets out of this situation and have a somewhat happy end. This mom and daughter are too evil
A "Happy End" is gonna be quite subjective in this manga, depending on who you're rooting for. Personally, Touko was my favorite character (... until this chapter), but there may be some other people who stan Touko or her mom. And they may not even be happy to see the crazy duo's dreams/wishes not being fulfilled.

Did touko manipulations here left you a bad taste to not like her?

Oooooh, now I understand: they are black widows.
They pick up guys, isolate them, drain them of everything they can give, ruining their lives, then they dump them and move on to the next victim.

Nah just think he's might been the first guy try there plan but dude was too off for them to easily manipulate if a baby was born

Ah so... I'm guessing he was put off, to write it mildly, from being the father-husband to Touko. They "got rid" of him in a non-lethal way, and now he's back wanting another chance at the craziness. Somehow, I don't think they're going to miss twice.

Also, I can't believe how many people still thought Touko was "innocent" in all this.

I'm not offended even though I really just don't remember that far :dogkek:

Though, "illiteracy" is inaccuracy on your part ;)

No????? Its still media literacy as in many lack it. I didn't say "people have media literacy."

I mainly remember because I am so invested in the series!

I'm so glad we got this chapter. It makes all of this even more insidious. We now know the reason they are so good at all of this, presumably, is because they have had practice.
I take it you haven't read 14.5, or forgot about it? It shows them during the process of moving from one target to another, and how they picked MC as the current one.

I think their main goal is getting the "Papa" to sleep with the daughter, which was why he was talking about not having the resolve to be "Papa," meaning he refused to sleep with her so they ditched him and moved on to their next mark, MC

If you take this statement on its own, its sounds like he was able to slip from their snare and attempt to move on(which obviously failed since he came back). But knowing the Mom and Touko, they utterly ruined him, his relationships(friendly, professional and familial), his future prospects, isolated him from those who care about him, and ultimately mindbroke him as they further ensnared him as their prey, and with nothing left he's come back so that the destruction of his life wasn't without meaning.
I think in the context of the story, that line means he didn't have the resolve to sleep with his teenage step daughter

Know what I do remember that chapter, but I don't think my brain connected the dots they had already "hunted" other "Papa" just that they were selecting one and chose our current one as their target.

None of the things depicted so far incriminated the mother–daughter of anything. They've been kind and helpful to the husband, been shown to know how to protect themselves against malicious forces. And yet, look at these readers, so ready to find something to blame them, some bad labels to name them, some vague signs to paint them as "black widows". Way to go, weebs and otaku!

the previous victim?
its not yet quite clear what actually happen. I kind of expect the "scammer" plot. but damn a lot of stuff are quite confusing.

my prediction:
Touko will make that Yoshida girl want to be more and more like her (appearance-wise)
and then this "dad" will mistake her for Touko, and kidnap her

Given how obsessed he seems other than some quick switcheroo or from behind attempt i wouldn’t think he’d confuse anyone if not just Kidnap her friends anyways as a hostage, face and slender body type aside I’d think long black straight hair is a super common Jp/asian trait even tho in animanga they go a bit more colorful (tho I don’t think this series has any “natural pink hair” type charas haha

I mean did none of the friends notice he said her name right after she said she didn't know who he was?

I mean most ppl would believe their friends but it’s not impossible to Be a stalker and find out ppls names social media aside we used to have a listing in school for all our names/numbers and we had to fill out to not be put in the directory

Oh god here we go again. Its every chapter with you sick, twisted peole. How do you function in your lives with this sort of twisted outlook on everything.
"Oh he's being used"
"They're going to honey trap him"
"Oh they're black widows"
"They want his geneseed to create an army of clones"
it just never ends. We're 30 chapters in and name ONE THING that Touko or her mother has done that is actually bad. All they've done so far is try to help with family drama and be a loving family.
But you sick people can't accept that so you make up horrible fictions.

Just look at this chapter.

Here we have a girl being approached by a guy from her past she's not comfortable with. He is all cringy and wanting to be closer to her than she's comfortable with.
Then we have a great, wholesome scene of her friends arriving to protect her.
One of her friends calls the cops. How many times have the people in this very thread posted about other manga "Why didn't anyone calls the cops and just resolve the situation?" but instead of praising this realistic, sensible action you all go fishing for dark, sinister meanings when there are none.

Oh no, she gets rid of a flower ring given to her by some creepy guy. How horrible. She is hugged by friend and hugs her back. Oh so dark.

Please.
I hope you people stay away from Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku, because if you are like this with a manga this fluffy and wholesome, i shudder to think how your twisted, deranged minds would interpret that one.
