Lol Izumi is a Japanese name. Probably would have dyed her hair. Like she always called Han-Yoil as Yoiru see "Ru" instead of "L", another japanese trait other than her obvious Japanese name. Not to mention her surname "Sato" which is the stereotypical japanese surname, like Americans have Smith or Koreans have Kim.

Anyways I'm happy Wonjin over confidence got crushed, hope to see more of her in future and less like an aloof being.

And that Yoil and her rival Suryeon tied for the first place.

Contrary to what naysayers had predicted that she would have crashed out and ultimately kicked, instead she got to the first place, even if not selected. You don't throw rivals out like this. Maybe not yet but probably later after bit more drama. Too interesting character to throw out this soon.

Now to the Season finale final episode, probably it is the thing Sanghyun told earlier, something which hurt So-Ae.

10/10 chapter.
Oh. Is it going be Soae seeing Kim with Wojin? "You were working here this entire time and didn't say hi at all!"

My favorite characters are all dropping like flies!
Thats why I went for Mansink. Best Character.

I kid of course Dabi is adorkable. Im glad she's still in and Yuri too I like her constantly angry attitude, Olivia hugging her because of it was adorable.

One can imagine Lee Ruha's reaction.

I still don't know what to think of the producer. It's already been mentioned that he might be employing tough love, but I still don't like the way he spoke about Summergirl. Yes, we all knew she was meant for the chopping block, but ever since she became Yoil's first friend I can't help but feel some fondness for her. I think the story is fond of her too. Hopefully she finds success elsewhere.

Minji is quite the spanner. Gongwon was doing his best to de-escalate a tricky situation (and in a manner that impressed Yoil), and Minji just stomps her foot on that. She is eeeeevil :D

I might be going bonkers here, but did Sanghyun not recognize Wonjin when she challenged him in the arcade? She was wearing a cap and glasses if I remember correctly. I guess I have to re-read that chapter. Oh what a world.

Quite sorry that this is the penultimate chapter until the break.

And what happened to Sanghyun's hair?!

Minji actually did good here in proving there was nothing between then Yoil has not had good luck at de-escalating situations.

Gongwon got his bro's back though. I don't know why Sanghyun is like he's not a friend, dude ready to risk everything for Sanghyun.

I get why to keep Hyeyon around, she's not bad enough to let go and having an older person around can often help descalate situations or give some of the other trainees hope that they aren't at their prime yet.

Though what Gu is doing to Suryeon now that's different. He said he like Yoils style first, next he said he liked a style similar to Suryeon then told Suryeon Yoil did the same song and now this. I mean Suryeon was a bitch but producer is really looking to make her crack.

Now that you mention it is Sanghyuns hair a bit longer? I wonder if it's an effect of the perfume? He might actually be becoming more Yoil.

I feel like this chapter is actually foreshadowing that Bae Hyojeong is joining the debut team, especially because that producer keeps jinxing himself and the opposite of what he says keeps happening (like Yoil proved in the last performance).

I'm thinking it's more of the effect that since Yoil and Sanghyun are the same person just with a different outer appearance, time passes through them the same. And since Sanghyun has barley spent anytime in his original form, he hasn't had the need or time to get his hair cut. Which could also imply that they age exactly the same as well... kinda cool if you think about it

So we got told that Hyojeong will keep appearing but she will never be selected, I don't really know how to feel about this, but honestly is a surprisingly realistic development, they can select the finalists and drop the rest whenever they want, but it is safer for them keeping a bit of stability to let the girls develop

It sad but basically they are keeping Minji and Hyojeong to keep Suryeon and Yoil content

I forgot how great Minji is. I'd be happy if the final result was a lily but I don't think it'll happen.

Also, not a single Mooyoung appearance this chapter and she isn't in the top 5 anymore? I'm hurt.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like either of them fit the image wanted for the debut group. I'll be sad to see them appear less once the debut team is complete.

Makes me wonder what we have in store for the next chapter and season, I'm guessing the next chapter will be the setup for a major cliffhanger (as is the case with most season ends). But next season we'll probably getting one last showdown between Yoil and Suryeon, their rivalry is reaching a boiling point.
yeah, feels like it. guess we gonna get hanged for months.

oh, you still remember that legend in the bus :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, I do agree with you, but I also think it's better for her to go pursue other paths rather than clinging to a false hope. That could be crueler in a way, but if she did that willingly (being a tool for the company), it's a different matter.

well, if miracle does happen... i really do hope she debuts. (there's her merchandise coming soon... so, maybe?)

I think that Yoil and Suryeon are tied first and both not in the debut team yet because they are trying to decide between one or the other. Because they are kinda similar in their styles, they probably don’t want both of them, so they are having them in the same place for now until they decide which is the one they want to keep

The plot twist is when it's revealed that Izumi is just a weeb that insists on using a Japanese name despite not being Japanese at all. Her soul is Japanese.

What I noticed was that Sanghyun's hair was back to normal. I thought he had changed his style in the previous chapter.

Yeah, I feel bad for Hyojeong. She knows she doesn't have a chance, the other girls know she doesn't have a chance, the producers know she doesn't have a chance, and the only reason she isn't eliminated is that she makes for a good mix of bait and threat (for others).

It was quite painful to see how that other girl tried to focus on some humane reasons (it's Hyojeong's last project, she has other qualities that could help, there are other paths in the idol industry, who knows if some weird development makes her necessary), whereas the more powerful men at the table were cynical, pragmatic, and planning to pit candidates against each other. A cold-blooded industry.

That said, I hope there's some route for Hyojeong in the story. The company definitely has more hands than just idols, and even Sanghyeon himself is working (or better said, pretending to work) behind the stage. She's the first and best friend Yoil has made that doesn't involve Sanghyeon, it'd be a pity to get rid of her.
