This is a common question asked by readers of all transformation gender bender stories. It has been since Ranma, as others pointed out.
But the most interesting part is that the Q&A showed a common contradiction that comes with it. Fans were both curious about the pregnancy question but also don't want the author to include any sort of romance between Han Yoil and a guy. That's also a common thing with stories like this.
Basically readers would be interested in seeing a gender transformed character dealing with pregnancy and having children, but they just don't want to see any boyfriend/husband/father involved with that story. I guess it's because most people realize how crazy the debates would be about whether it's a gay or straight romance and would rather not deal with the question at all 😅.
Or as the author implies in the Q&A, it'd be something that would require impossibly good writing to satisfy everyone, so it's almost better to not even try.
So with this, it gets confusing, but TS in Asia is just a catch-all term for all stories that would be called gender bender in the west. TS isn't really used in the west for these stories because most gender bender stories, including this one, are not really about issues of someone with gender dysphoria, which is what most would refer to as transgender topics irl.
That difference is also part of what makes gender bender stories interesting in their own way imo, since they usually involve a character who starts off cisgender with no previous thoughts of being someone of the opposite gender. I do think there would be a lot of psychological differences for a cis person dealing with a situation like this versus a trans person, but because all related stories to this genre are often thought of as being the same I rarely see anyone try to discuss the differences like that.
