I don’t think there is THAT large of a risk of inbreeding when you consider the fact that not only do you have Yokai who essentially evolve from animals, but you also have Yokai who don’t inherit the same abilities as their parents and instead become some sort of random Yokai. In that sense, the genetic diversity is random no matter who the parents are.
It also seems less like normal sexual reproduction and more like some sort of cloning. They talked earlier about how girls usually inherit their mother’s Yokai ability, and boys inherit from the father.

@rpapo While I'm not fluent in japanese (yet) and can't say if the way you translated from dialect to standard japanese is correct, 電話しなかった would just mean "where no phone calls done?" without specifying if it's about making or receiving calls.
That way, the dialogue could also mean that Yuu wanted to call somebody but forgot.
Also, SMS and calls are removed from the network provider's system if they're not transmitted to the cellphone after a set time (2-3 days usually). So Yuu thinking that he's been forgotten just because he has no missed calls makes no sense unless he (or the mangaka for that matter) has never read his phone contract.

@Ulfhednar - I understood that whole part as "you've been to a place with signal, and you got no old texts or voice-mails?" That said, I did make a one character mistake in my transcription there, and that made a difference. I'm still learning...
Kasumi has a consistent, and strong, Kansai accent throughout the series. With the transcription error fixed, I get some hits with Google in books about the Kansai dialect, and "電話しいひんかったん…？" (or in normal Japanese, "電話しなかったの...？") translates to "Have you not made any phone calls...?" And he wasn't the one being forgotten. It was him forgetting his old friends. He really is becoming accustomed to living in the village with the girls.
The last page has been updated accordingly.
