Yeah that's how these always go. They had "no choice" but to reincarnate as a child, but they then proceed to thoroughly relish it, and behave like children. MC's behavior is entirely indistinguishable from a real preteen, getting babied by the adoptive family and etc, and now going to school to mingle with other children.

Honestly, I'm starting to get a little bored. I don't mean the series. It seems like the author had the idea of our main character turning into a girl and then it's yuri. It's not that I don't like yuri but maybe I expected the female lead to fall in love with a guy. But that's just my personal opinion. Susie is still cute as usual.

If it's any consolation, I'm reading this just flabbergasted at how blantant and one dimensional the wish-fulfillment fantasy is. Protag literally appears out of thin air and is immediately just handed everything an isolated adult wants--a family that unconditionally loves and accepts them, everyone at school is falling over themselves to be friends with them.

And these things don't develop. There is no story to any of it. They are practically thrown at the protagonist as completed packaged for simply existing.

I'm all for wholesome slice of life stories, but this is just pathetic. The relationships are blinking into existence just like the protagonist did.


Tvtropes defines "mary sue" as... Well, ok, the description is quite long and nuanced... But the summary it gives is


In other words, the term "Mary Sue" is generally slapped on a character who is important in the story, possesses unusual physical traits, and has an irrelevantly over-skilled or over-idealized nature.


And I don't think I've ever seen a more blatant example than this girl. Particularly the "over-idealized nature" bit.
