I dunno, blaming Ruby for the dragon awakening is just bullshit. Even without Ruby Illoyd and Ezel's fight was loud enough, you can't really blame Ruby because she can exerted big noise.

This, and the time she somehow accidentally poison the mage too.

This is more about luck issue rather than moral issue.

To me it's also an issue of like... does it really take a real catastrophe of this massive calibre for Ruby to understand that some things she blames on others are her own fault? If she doesn't understand she's a horrible person until it starts to threaten the entire world, the realisation is extremely cheap; meaningless, even.

Belive it or not, not many people believe a CHILD counts as a unrepentant monster and deserves to die, shocking concept I know
I can actually rather easily believe this, as ive only seen 3 people max wish her to die this chapter and even then, none of them said she deserves to do so.

Now for the part that people actually do agree with: you dont need to be an adult to be unrepentant and you dont need to be an adult to be abusive either. And i think its totally fair to call someone who abused a person for years a monster(and even if you dont, she literally was a monster a couple chapters ago lol).
Also, its not likes shes an infant with no thoughts either, shes old enough to own property and a business, if she can do that, then she should be held responsinle for her actions.
Now if you say that she shouldnt have been in the situation to do these things either and that shes perhaps also a victim of circumstance id agree with you, but that doesnt erase the harm her actions caused and until she does something to adress that, she will stay an unrepentant abuser.

Its kind of bizzare too, because she was on the path to betterment. It was slowly dawning on her after ezekiel gave her that little speech. With a bit more time for introspection and reflection she mightve realised how horrible shes been and maybe she wouldve worked on some way to atone but nope! We gotta throw in the apocalyose to accelerate that, cant have this play out naturally!

Remember when this manga was about a guy leaving his abusive boss/"childhood friend" to live a slow life in a frontier town instead of "what if the bad guys ACTUALLY were trying to save the world"?

P.S. Thanks for the TL! It's not your fault that the plot strayed so far away.

i think Ruby's story would be way more interesting than Lloyd's if she wasn't relegated to convenient plot mover

What is the manga trying ?..
Why is it now following that insufferable piece of shit and likely trying to redeem her for some stupid reason ?
So far everything bad thats happened in the story is connected to her, honestly everything bad happening to her is entirely self-inflicted
Because her story is far more interesting than generic harem MC #24395

The worst is that the actually interesting story is actually part of the chapter. "Ruby becoming part of the village, kingdom official showing up to drag her back to justice, village rallying to ruby's defence. Ruby realizing that she can get away but at the cost of her friends, and realizing she doesn't want that, finally surrending to save the others" could be pretty interesting if it wasn't rushed. Instead we get sudden apocalyptic "must defeat with friendship" dragon out of nowhere which is boring.
(the bad hamfisted backstory doesn't help)

This chapter just has... way too much going on
So many fake out deaths, so many lore drops
Is there an axe somewhere nearby? Whats happening?
