manga only made to promote the novel is what i hate most. i would have loved to see this play out more but with how rushed this chapter feels and how sloppily their emotions were expressed it feels like the publishers decided pretty late that it only needed ten chapters. i was really enjoying this manga but this final chapter left a bitter taste.

Well, the source material was short, so maybe author didn't want to "create new story" for it and wanted it to end in the same way the web novel did?

FMC's sister drugged and attempted to rape MC out of jealousy but FMC "caught them" in the act mid way. She promptly took her sisters side, didn't believe and shit on the MC for a good while until sister confessed under pressure. That's where most of his initial resentment suppose to be stems from. This info however dropped in the very last part of the novel and after that it just ends with something like "and lets be careful about your sister next time". THE END

according to novel spoilers, the reason they divorced was her sister raped him and she took her side and the story just ignores it completely
I haven't read them myself but nobody's denied it so I guess that's it

TF?! I was not expecting that. Im happy that they never showed that in the manga (or at least i don't remember them showing any hint of that in the manga). That would've been such a tone shift.

This had to have been an axe. Ngl, they could’ve gone through their entire relationship again but correcting all the mistakes they made the first time around. It would have been full of conflict and a thorny path, but it would’ve been nice to see as a manga.

People are way too quick to call any manga that doesn't go on for dozens of volumes "axed" even if it was fully written in advance. If they finished the series as originally planned, that's clearly not axed.

That said, yeah I mean not necessarily the most satisfying ending of all time, but as a romcom reader this is what happens what feels like 9 times out of 10 when they even get translated.

Honestly though... I dunno if I would've cared to read this for another volume anyway. I'm happy I can file it away under Completed.
