Very interesting summary. I do want to add a caveat that what Jirou went to weren't mere prostitutes but "soap girls" ie soapland workers. This is essentially organized and legalized prostitution with terms and conditions and all that jazz. It's a very controlled environment with management and security. And they do absolutely get to turn you down if they don't feel comfortable with you.

In these environments it is somewhat expected that you will actually have a chat with the girls in addition to the sexual services they provide, so you can get to know each other, ask questions, etc.. Many of them will chat you up in DMs as well, not just to set up what you will do but also to keep somewhat of a relationship with you (of course with the intention that you will come back and make an appointment with them).
