Initially, he was referred to as a “she” but then the MC asked him to be her younger sister to which he replied that he’s a boy so then MC asked him to be her younger brother. I’m assuming he appears very feminine and is easily confused as a girl. (Though he looks 100% male to me and was confused when they were referring to him as a female initially and thought it was a mistranslation)
