I imagine that's how her thought process interpreted things throughout their childhoods and school days, at least until the break up. Worse yet, I've seen people who actually thought like this, so it's pretty crazy and for the people involved/targeted, quite scary.

True, this is surprisingly realistic and whilst I'm not defending Hanabi one bit, these comments laying into her who's clearly got a mental disorder isn't much better to be honest. The abuse totally isn't justified, but just like real life these people need psychological help rather than condemnation.

Geez, Hanabi kind of needs 'help'. Like if she continues to grow up as an adult, and this continues, it might get her in some bigger shit in the future.
And Ichinose is just a chad for not falling for her tears. After all, there is still something wrong with Hanabi's mindset at this point, and you can't just suddenly sympathize while she thinks that all that abuse was to express her love for him - that is just positively reinforcing a negative way of thinking.
Anyway, I also LOL at this encounter, all these drama, despair and tears happening while she has that morbidly twisted ankle.

I honestly don't know how to feel about these last few chapters. Protag is a victim here, why is the story trying to justify her actions TO THE VICTIM here when she hospitalized someone. I'm happy that he's not giving her anymore than the barest levels of compassion but why him? Why does he have to be here to hear any of this? Idk, feels very wrong to me. (and, yes, I know the story is from his perspective but it's also a story and sometimes you can break your own internal rules for the sake of the story you're trying to tell.) Have to see where this leads but really not liking this so far.

For the WN yes, but the LN continued with a 2nd Volume which give closure to everyhing that the WN left hanging, like the leads getting together, so each split we get, we're closer and closer to see if this adaptation is going to continue with LN Vol.2 or end with the lame ass WN non-ending
