I originally called he'll end up with childhood friend, now I'm convinced he will. It's too overt on him wanting to be with the new girl that it's defo gonna be the ol bait and switch.

Also I always find it funny with Tsun characters who are like "Love bad" or "I don't love you" and then are shock pikachu faced when the MC doesn't pick them and/or think of them romantically.

I originally made a prediction in chapter 4 in my manga updates review that the tsun was gonna keep tsuning and be shock pikachu faced that the MC doesn't love her and I'm so sad I was spot on.

The dumb part to this chapter is Childhood friend say "Falling in love is bad" when we know she loves MC. We know she wants to be with him but at the same time is feeding him infomation of don't fall in love with anyone. She's scuttling her own chances and she even enlightened the MC to the fact he likes new girl.

This kind of writing can be done well but from everything we've read this is just being done to mostly keep the status quo to halt progress. At 12 chapters (3 volumes) in we are still in the same position we were in in chapter 3.

Why is she so insistent on shipping the MC and the tsundere?

i dont think thats the case, theyve treated and looked at each other as best friends for years, and nothing has really happened in the story yet to just suddenly justify the two of them falling for each other, they practically arent even concious of their difference in gender. and even if she likes shunsuke if she were to confess now theres a high chance itll just be a wrecking ball to their relationship. theres reasons hinaki doesnt want shunsuke to fall in love with the girl, shes weird (at least from her perspective) and she doesnt want to lose her friendship with shunsuke in spite of his promises of things remaining the same (it obviously will not)

I think this type of story like he thought that is love and just noticed it just mere crush and bla bla bla somehow both of them realize how important both of them toward each other. Thats my take on this type of story but dunno it could be type of story about mc chasing single girl stuff

I don't think Hikari is actually in love with MC, at least right now. It seems like she has mutual feeling with MC which is they just like each other as friends. I do think as the manga progresses, Tsun will end up falling in love and soon the MC too. I really feel (or at least hope) that Hikari will win in the end.
