So many people in the comments take this story too seriously, it was the same with the other light novel this manga artist adapted, they might just be cursed to lure in stick in the mud who take fictional reading too seriously

Even in previous chapters some people were commenting along the lines of "Hope MC grows into a better person", "Why is his behaving that way.", "Hope something bad happens to the MC", "FL's should kill the MC", etc.

The story is so absurd and the MC is so unapologetic about using the FL's for money which is what makes it entertaining. Just don't take it that seriously and you'll likely to have more fun reading it, and if you still could not enjoy it despite turning your brain off, that's valid (just doesn't make sense why you'd continue reading instead of dropping but that's just me). Plus, if the MC suddenly has a change of heart or the story pivots into "oh the MC regrets their action and wants to atone now it's just going to be wholesome fun slice of life" I would instantly stop reading it because what made it interesting in the first place is now gone.
