What do you mean?

I don't think it would be so depressing. Change 123 has a similar "one girl split into distinct alters" scenario (although there was no physical splitting except within the girl's mental world), and the ending has her various alters merging permanently together; the united personality largely conforms to what used to be the "main" alter (shy bookworm), but exhibited a lot of the distinctive traits of the other alters (from taste in certain foods, to certain mannerisms, to martial prowess and capacity for killing intent), and one of the final shots of her shows the faces of the three "vanished" alters overlaid next to hers as she turns back to the male MC, symbolically showing that they are still there despite no longer being independent minds.
That's fair, I just like to analyze such things from a pessimistic philosophical side of things so I'm mentally prepared for the worst and because such what ifs intrigue me 🤔

Still tho. Galka sounds weird.
Dude, we have an official manga/anime where the main character is literally only referred to "Galko" (the author expressly avoids using real names and instead uses descriptive fake names). "Galka" is quite fine.

That charm is fucking cursed, they should exorcise it. What the fuck did she even wish for that would cause her to be broken into parts? Isn't this just settling for quantity over quality?
I dunno why, but this is bothering the fuck out of me. I'll keep reading since it seems cute, sorta like how Rentaurou loves all his GFs equally, but the whole situation is insanely annoying to me for some reason.
My guess is that she wished something like:
”I wish that when I meet him again, he will only see the things he like in me, and nothing else”
and thus the charm split her, and asked him to make a choice, making the part of her personality he wouldn’t like disappear.
And I guess that in the end, he’ll prove that he love every facets of her, and she will fuse back into a single full person, or something. There was an old manga a long time ago (a decade?) that had a VERY similar premise… It’s way too early to judge if this mangaka is able to write it as well and that past one, or if they will differentiate it later… (it have been mentioned a couple time in this thread)

I think the only way this can land in a good ending is that the Karins merge back into the one original Karin

Well... Not the only way, but... I mean, if they're all Karin, it'd make sense, right?

Do you recall the title of this old manga?

Could've gone with Gyaruka, but decided Galka is just easier to read, pronounce and (most importantly of course) fit into bubbles without looking awful.

Taking bets on the new Karin's nickname, I'm going with Shizuka.
Good cause Gyaruka sounds like a pokemon.

gives such 100 gf vibes and even galka's facial expressions remind me of kasuri from that manga, anyone know if this author worked as an assistant to 100gf's?

Overall freakin love it so far the art is just so swooshy and great

The lucky charm makes it so the nicknames are their real names/accepted for the class roster and belongings and stuff
