A Karin who wishes for things to be as they used to be. She desires to be "dependable."

Waiting for the eventual full backstory reveal in 30ish chapters. Despite how energetic she seemed to be in the past, it seems like she's done nothing but fail until now. It's really sad.

In my opinion, the publisher's long release schedule in between chapters is what is hurting this work.

These types of short gag-manga stories works better in shorter release schedules.

yeah, usually mangas like these are kept going with weekly releases. And a lot of them are damn popular too.

Japanese people Hate it when the Main Character has a PERSONALITY and shows AFFECTION. They would rather want them to be BLAND and constantly RUNNING AWAY from any sort of affection.
Fuck mutual relationships were both sides help each other and grow to love one another! We would rather want fucking WIMPS as Main Characters because apparently we can only le epic relate to them and them alone!

we do have a good abundance of successful mangas with pretty chad-ish MCs out there tbh, and they're all either weekly or bi-weekly. I think that's mostly the key for a manga like this (or any manga really) to be successful unfortunately, unless it's something story-heavy like One-Punch-Man, AoT, Shangri La Frontier and etc...

If this manga was weekly or bi-weekly, like 2.5D Seduction, Boku no yabai or hell, that 100 girlfriends that love you and etc...I think this manga would definitely succeed easily.

Its monthly release can be a pretty big dampen on readers' retention ((

I may sound extreme with this, but I hope this bitch dies, she is just annoying to the max and a detriment to the manga, if I have to tolerate her for however longer the manga goes (that doesn't seem like it will be a lot based on the post of the mangaka in bluesky) I'm dropping it, like, I truly hope she loses, runs away, and because the ML couldn't stabilize her, she disappears and her trait (fear of change expressed as Pride) gets added to all the other karins, that way she is out of the picture, we get to see what happens if the MC fails and her existence is not a waste of chapters, giving Yuu character development, forcing him to try even harder to conquer all of the traits, and making said trait a grimm reminder, that whenever a Karin gets prideful in this "defensive manner" he shows pain remembering the one he lost and reinforcing his conviction to make all karins happy

Each different Karin represents a different struggle from the original - Himeka is impatient, Galka is impulsive, Kumaka is avoidant and Aika is defensive. It's already been shown that she's been ostracized in the past just for being herself, hence why Yuu's honesty is so important in bringing the Karins together. He lets Karin know that she's not alone.

Eh, it's all a matter of taste, I wouldn't say it's a problem. It's unfortunate that you can't seem to like it, but as long as you're not being a hater it's cool. Out of curiosity, what keeps you coming back if you are struggling to like the series?

You're not wrong sadly, though, as one person put it, the issue comes down to the length of time between releases. It's hard for a series like this to maintain momentum without a faster release pace since it's what people expect from a series like this. I've noticed quite a lot of people loosing track of the plot here and there. If this series had been a weekly thing, I think it might have had a better chance at maintaining it's traction, even with people that like it. I have to admit, I keep having a "oh yeah, this series exists" moment when a new chapter drops. Like I absolutely love this series to pieces, but a month is quite long time for a gag series to go without updates. (It's why the extra content is so important for this series.)

EDIT: I liked this chapter, I think one way it distinguishes itself from 100GF is that while MC does a lot to help the girls, is never a solo thing and he doesn't refuse help from others either, so they are trying to tether him to reality and I hope the author keeps on doing it.

Same, I saw 100 kanojo season 1 and didn't like it so I was pretty surprised when I saw this series come out which borrows heavily from 100 kanojo (if we're being generous) and I actually like it but even so I have to try and remember what happened last chapter when the next is released, would be a shame to see it go though so I hope they can improve the situation
