Anyone else wishing for authors to leave the tired old tropes behind already? I'm sure this could've been done so much better without all the typical nonsense like "this girl is good at everything" and "the entire school is chasing after the handsome guy".

Oh well. I'll keep reading for a bit to see if it at least improves.

Regarding the "girl is good at everything," isn't the basketball scene meant to convey she actually isn't good at everything? She was proud at herself after totally missing a shot. Through 1 chapter, she seems cute and nice but nothing screams "she's the school princess" yet.

Seems very simple, and if it goes how I think it will I'll enjoy it a decent amount and it's probably getting a 6 for me. But if they had slower pacing and creative ways to introduce drama and plot points, this could be very good coupled with the already amazing art. We'll just have to see

Yawn inducing, but more importantly: extremely angering. I was hoping that, since this was a shoujo and not a shitty shounen, that we could actually get some, you know, actual drama between a hateful character and someone who likes said hateful character. This chapter shattered that hopeful illusion.

This is just another shitty slice of life romance "comedy" (that isn't funny) whose main character doesn't even fucking stick to the author's guns of what the original god damn premise even is. I honestly should've lowered my expectations once I realized the author was just going to completely blow through the MC's past, as if it were the most insignificant part of the whole premise, just to get to "the good stuff".

This could've had potential, but just become yet another shitty ass generic "romcom" that is neither funny, nor even sticking to its original premise. I seriously hate when a really great premise is shat all over for both comedic value AND to get to the "fluff" that honestly should be towards the middle and end of such a premise.

This is all so fucking vapid and a waste of god damn time and bandwidth, just like [nearly] every other slice of life.
