It felt like that to me from the very first volume. If it does end up going the poly route i dont think people would get mad at it because both of the girls get the same(ish) screen time and all three of the main cast have great chemistry with each other.

And unlike most ff+/m or mm+/f series, neither interested leads seem to have shallow feelings either. They both seem pretty serious about him, and he about both of them, although none of them realize it yet. If it does go a poly route I see a sequel series with the 3 kids as high school/college going a similar way

With the latest chapter, 29, it seems like the misunderstood confession now appears to be somewhat tongue in cheek.

That said, it was like a gut punch when I read chapter 28’s ending. I am so glad for chapter 29! This has become one of my all time favorite manga!
