also leon helping her out was a correct choice as marie is the one who fucked up the script not leon ,except for taking lux , which wouldn't matter that much compared to other saint treasures , leon is doing the right thing yet he is being criticized , as if he didn't do anything to help her livia would have gotten bullied ( she does get originally as well) but not with marie in control it wud be too excessive and wud actually break her down , hardship helps grow but beyond a point it just shatters you into something that cannot be fixed no matter what , lux pointed out incorrectly

While that's somewhat true, and even the MC feels guilty about denying her access to everything that she would've probably gotten, it's also worth considering that the alternative is... also probably even worse from the side stories and whatnot. Don't forget: In the otome game, Livia was a storytelling device. It was a self-insert for YOU - THE PLAYER. When Livia herself is a thinking, living, breathing human? With thoughts and feelings that don't belong only to a game script? Shit can get a lot worse and less rosy. I suggest hitting up the spoiler chats to see that the grass is NOT always greener on the other side.

It would be needed some heavy spoilers to answer your question fully, but the basic is that her life was always suffering after suffering and they find out each others identity when she finally has a mental breakdown and basically gives up living, they begin talking about their previous life and start to piece the puzzle together. The scene itself is actually quite moving and it, along with other things, gives context to all of Marie's actions up to that point.

They're both kinda brocon/siscon but not in a sexual way like in many other works. Leon was way too overprotective of her and didn't let her face the consequences of her actions but she always had really had bad luck so it's understandable, while she has always had really bad luck and was Leon who was always there for her, so she became dependent on him. Not to mention that at a surface level he doesn't seem like that good of a person, so maybe that also influenced her romantic choices.

Actually, it's kinda funny seeing this story having so much focus on the facets of sibling love when the author previous work is basically the story of siblings going at the each other throats until the other was dead, and leaving a river of blood in their wake.

@nothingtosay: If you are referring about Olivia and her Original Story, as per the Otome Game, then it would be better if you read the Bonus Novel Story "Marie Route" that the Author is writing.
It talks about the actual situation of how things would have gone for Olivia, if events went almost the same in real life for her as in the game story.
