So, we can say it all came down to luck and her experienced gamer instinct. :win:

Thanks for the spoiler! I was actually afraid of all other players being normies. I guess I should've been more patient :p Looks like it's going to be very interesting!
bro, you can be honest and just say Rare got Plot Shield the same size of Emiya Shiro.

Chapter 14 of the manga is about chapter 86 of the web novel... I do kind of suggest going through it though since leading up to this point also covers the shenanigans of other characters. But up to you, who am I to bar one from being lazy?
A lot actually but thanks

Chapter 2 of Volume 2.

We need some perspective from the unwashed masses. Wayne is a 'nobody' but every social game ends up with a clique of famous people even if they're dog shit at the game.

The retainer system places a burden on the person receiving the pledges, so there's a "natural" limitation on how many retainers a person can have. Assuming of course they meet the requirements to be able to have retainers, which is usually a species or innate born trait. Leah is a special case as she's gained the retainer skill via the skill tree (plus she's an elf ... errr ... of elven heritage; which predisposes people to think better of simp for her) and yeah, she has retainers who have retainers of their own. Plus any burden on her was just hand waved and dismissed. Then again, kings have several companies of knights as their retainers, not to mention lesser nobles with their personal retinue so the limits would be rather high, but not high enough to be indiscriminate with it.

no seriously i cant remember this arc demon guy, that fish dude indeed fodder but his dead so anticlimactic end up being in my memory lol, as for insect king i only remember its in new island that different from Vampire Queen place other than that i forgot
Here's a quick progressive recap about him with stopping points: He even got a name, Suleiman, and rules the northern part of the south continent. He was even one of the smart ones that picked up the oracle skill himself to get warnings of threats and is on high alert by the time he got introduced because of all the notices. After hearing about Lyra's appearance & arrival in the Behemoth(triceratops zoid), he mistook her for Dr. Acrazio. Thinking the mad scientist demonic spirit(evolution between dark elf and demon lord) that created them completed her superweapon, he went on a last desperate full-scale attack on the human city capital hoping it's not fully functional. In the tournament, he fought Diaz, Team Darkness and ultrawoman Blan. His female humanoid subordinate, Sitri, also fought in the tournament against Inbel(Rare's Orthros wolf pet) and Bambu. Even after the tournament, Lyra visited him with Blan and Geraldine to negotiate for the zoids parts.

In the earlier chapters, Leah did mention there were rumours the game is actually using a world engine, i.e. a simulation that completely simulate a world. So I think the implications is the NPC are that smart and is intended by the devs.
Yeah you're right, I just wanted to state how even if that specific thing was or wasn't intended, I think the idea of an NPC noticing various things about the world about them and then putting their findings together to create strategies is fascinating! Even extrapulating information from what players do and using that knowledge and incorporating it into their plans is even more interesting! And just imagine being one of the people making this game and seeing how the NPCs have ideas and do things you never imagined that they would do, and then seeing it in their interactions with actual players in the wild! I would be amazed just knowing that the NPCs were coming up with ideas that involved players such as asking them to use their skill to talk to everybody and find strong people among the players willing to fight! A lot of stuff could be done with this not just in this manga with the NPCs but also by NPCs under certain algorithms in irl games. I just realized I'm yapping so I'll stop talking but imagine creating an NPC and it does something profoundly unexpected! Makes me want to figure out how it's programming made it do that! ok byes

A good read, I'm a sucker for villain type protagonist that conquer/do shit.

My only problem with it would be the pacing, she goes pretty fast in getting stuff for her or her army with almost-to no explanation. I'll try to read the LN and see if it explains more cause while I don't like exposition for many things and prefer the author to show it instead, but here it didn't show much and explained pretty much nothing, be it the points she can use to strengthen herself or her servants, or certain items she can use (the magnus opus stuff, which relate to alchemy, is it something you get when you just learn alchemy? and how much levels does she has or are levels required to craft stuff like a philosopher stone, etc. or just ingredients?).
I know her servants are pretty useful but sometimes if feels like she gets stuff a bit too fast or out of no where (or maybe that's me reading too fast).

Anyway I'll now have to wait for the fall of the capital.
