Mostly because it paints lesbians as possessive (and often very horny) mysandristic assholes for no real reason other than just for the sake of it. Why cant we just have a normal lesbian friend/rival? Or heck, even straight friends who are just very clingy? You dont have to be sexually attracted to someone to be close to them.

It's the attitude of most of these lesbian (or just really really REALLY clingy female friend) rivals. Most of the time they act like rabid misandrist who consistently abuse the male characters for being males. Most of the time, there is no repercussion for their actions. No character development. No interesting events happening. No nothing. It's just them hating on the male characters for the sake of comedy and nothing else.

It'd be cool if there is a development where these lesbitches (because that's what they are. Fucking trash of a one dimensional bitch characters) are acting like misandrist to cope with the fact that their love interest have no romantic interest in them, so they cope with putting down others and being a hypocrite to feel better about themselves. Then they faced a character development moment and grow better as a character, losing the hateful misandry, and progressing to just hating the MC NOT because they are males, but because they are their love rivals.

Hell I'd even take them ONLY acting like an asshole to the MC and being a decent human being to the others. Because at least there is some more dynamics in their love triangle or something like that.

It's fun seeing these female rivals abusing the male characters the first few times the came around several years ago. But by now they are so much of them it's getting boring and annoying. It's like how the violent tsundere tropes, or the shitty sex crazed male friends tropes, are getting fucking annoying and tired to see in manga. I especially hate the shitty sex crazed male friends trope. Fuck those characters. They are so shit, I wonder how the hell can anyone still wanna be friends with them.

Yes that is what it is, i remember now its the fact that lesbian characters for some reason always have to despise men, now its clicking. Yeah that part is pretty dumb and I guess we are seeing that here?(honestly I thought the hatred was just because akai was #1 and the girl was #2 but yeah it could be stupid man hate)

Personally, I just find tropes like this fucking obnoxious regardless of it being a boy or girl.

Having some overbearing character that thinks their shit doesn't stink and jumps to conclusions like it's a game of hopscotch isn't fun to read nor is it entertaining. Especially if they sit there refusing to acknowledge it was them misunderstanding something then still acting unbearable about it.

Genuinely makes me want to skip chapters they're in because I know that it's just gonna be filled with dumb misunderstanding filler.
