Musings of the day: That was the subtlest (and also weirdest) way of asking someone if they're gay ever. I love the "You're gay? Well, fine by me, but I'm telling your future wife."

And yeah, Haseo keeps alluding to Ning being a woman, but I didn't know how to make it sound natural otherwise. I'm sorry. You'll have to imagine that the rest of the characters are not paying much mind to what he's really saying (which is not too far off from reality) so that the scene after Michizane finds out his gender makes sense.

Yeah, I also don't fully understand how it works.

One of my favorite things about historical fiction is how easy is to empathize with people that died centuries ago. Like yeah, this is my good friend Sugawara no Michizane, that lived around 1200 years ago, and the poems he wrote in exile make me cry.
