I finished this chapter right as maintenance started so going back to the main series page just took me to a blank "No Title" page. It seemed like a fitting response to the cliffhanger the chapter ended on.

With whose money ? If what she overheard is right, the most likely reason his folks would ask that he comes back home would be (saving on) money.

I guess another possibility could be helping taking care of someone ? Bad back injury ? Broken leg ? A funny, high chaos scenario might be his own mother being pregnant but I don't think this manga has the guts for that.
