I feel like agreeing. The random 180 in the last chapter (things were good to oh no divorce papers were conveniently found) and this switch around would be really jarring if the progression surrounding it wasn't pretty good. No way the guy had who just had the most obsessive crashout towards Rui so easily rebounds to Kyousuke.

If they were going that route they needed more build up and deliberation. Now it just feels like this just a weak plot point to get Rui jealous.

Itsuki is all around a scumbag and it is only the mutual spinelessness of the protagonists that keep them from hating him

...Man, this arc made everyone look worse to the point that Kyosuke has become the most consistent and grounded character in this series.

However, the Itsuki heel turn and interest shift to Kyosuke was left field enough that I laughed. So I guess that's entertaining enough for me.

I’m kind of confused where everyone saying the Itsuki shift to Kyosuke was out of left field. The guy has been cleaning and cooking for the guy for a while? Like so well that he wanted him to come back all the time? I don’t think it was that crazy of a turn. Plus he does open up to Itsuki and they do have emotional talks all the time. Not that big of a leap.
