ManhwaFreak's recent uploads left me wondering about this site's policy on watermarks. Take their latest chapter of L.A.G. as an example; there are 9 banner watermarks that overlay panels and 8 reminders to view on their website between. Is this an issue?

That's your problem, right there. They're sloppy, begging, dirtbag snipers. Stick to the other group on that series, and put up with the wait for quality.
Sure, and this mainly came to my attention b/c their chapters jumped ahead on a series I currently follow. To me, watermarks negatively affect quality as does interrupting a chapter for site referrals. Mangadex coincidentally has a "report chapter" feature with an option being "watermarked images". My question would then be does that exemplified chapter fit the criteria

The only MD rule pertaining to watermarks relates to watermarks some aggregators place on images (3.2.5). Everything else is generally allowed "within reason".
In the particular example that was provided I do not see any issue with the watermarks, and while I think there is an excessive amount of "Read on our site first" inserts, I am not sure if it violates any rule/guideline to the extent of getting removed. Ultimately the decisions is up to the mods.
