Honestly this ending is way more positive and tame than I was expecting, people complaining are some mighty optimistic people for expecting more, unless they never read p school.

I couldn't really see him and mariko actually getting together in one chapter, but like this, it sort of becomes possible atleast. I mean this ending is definitely rushed, but it works.
