It actually is realistic that if you summon big names from the history to serve under you, they are going to have equally big personalities as well. Furthermore, they don't exactly have any solid cause to unite them, either. They are in a foreign land, not their own, so they can't feel like they are fighting for a just cause they would intrinsically recognise, such as trying to win freedom for their own people. Thus it's harder to set aside their own desires for the sake of the bigger picture. Now they are just mercenaries with nothing better to do or nowhere else to go. Naturally they would clash with each other when they try to find some meaning in their lives.
